I'd love to hear from anyone who knows where there will be jazz festivals in northern Italy this summer!

Umbria jazz is always a good one. THat's more like central Italy though.

Ancona and Pescara also have well known jazz festivals but I think Umbria is nearer to us

you might want to take a look at www.stresafestival.eu - later this month. easy train ride from milan. stresa is a lovely town on lake maggiore if you've never been. go for the day to visit the borromeo islands and stay for the music... enjoy.

Just to let you know that I went down to Perugia for the Umbria jazz festival and it was fab, I can definitely recommend the trip!
