I am new to Milan and determined to learn Italian. Those who have been where I am now, what advice would you give me?
Thanks

have you registered for a course? I found that helped a lot initially to at least gives me the basics

My main advice would be don't worry re making mistakes, just push yourself to speak and surround yourself with as many Italians as possible!
Good luck!

thanks for your answers. those who did courses did you do intensive ones?

I did a months intensive course and then after that had private lessons once a week. I think the most important thing is to make sure you make italian speaking friends so you can use the language regularly. And make sure they dont want to just practice their english on you!
