Italian Lessons

Fitty writes in General

We have just moved to Italy and apart from the usual 5 or 6  words, I know no Italian and desperately need lessons.  Could anyone recommend classes, schools etc in Milano, preferably on the eastern side of the city?  My concierge tried to explain to me about free courses (I think!) but I'm not sure of these.  Thanks!

Hi, I'm Nancy and I just came back from California.

I'm 28 years old and if you want, we can see in the weekends or in the evening (we can go out together for a pizza) and do a little conversation (it will be up to you!). I need to speak in English because I want to pass TOEFL exam and I will help you with Italian. Of course, free. I did in this way with an American girl in Los Angeles this summer.

Let me know if you are interested.

Nancy

Thanks, Nelly, for your kind reply and the information.  I would be interested in meeting with you, but feel that I need to get some Italian beforehand.  Could I take a rain check on your offer and contact you at a later date?

I think it was actually Nancy who wanted to meet up with you.

Hi Nancy, I replied to Nelly instead of you, so sorry!  In case you have not seen that messge, I said that I'd really like to do Intercambio (as we called it in Spain) but feel that I ought to have some knowledge of Italian first.  Could I get back to you once I feel it would be ok for me?  We're also very new here and I have to keep an eye on my girls with homework etc in the evenings, until they get into a good routine...

Many thanks, Felicity
