The British Government website has a section for Britons living abroad. The information is not specific to Italy but provides useful facts relevant to moving, relocating with a family or retiring abroad. Canadian Citizens

In early 2007, the services provided by the Milan Consular Office moved to Rome offices. The Consulate General in Rome has both Trade and Consular Sections. The Trade Section aims to promote Italian-Canadian business relationships and offers advice to Canadian companies in Italy. The Consular section helps Canadian citizens with emergency passport applications and citizenship issues. It also provides and validates documentation.
